I currently work at Macmillan Labs, a small innovation team within Macmillan Publishing. We create products that challenge existing business models in higher education and open up new ways to use technology for learning. Prior to that I was designing next generation tools for artists at Dreamworks Animation and providing UX guidance on new business initiatives. I was also a lead designer on the Aplia online homework platform and worked on a variety of web-based client projects at THINK Interactive. Prior to becoming a UX designer, I was a certified geek doing a variety of roles in software development.

I earned a Masters Degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech, where I got to work on a lot of cool projects.

I am a volunteer dog socializer at the San Jose Animal Shelter and a foster volunteer with Our Pack dog rescue. I have recently taken up sewing and can make a mean zipper pouch. I also enjoy making homemade frozen yogurt and doing DIY home improvement projects.
